Welcome to Nourishing Insights. We are a virtual Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine Practice based in the United Kingdom. Our team of Nutritional Therapists have trained with Internationally renowned Ruth Kriz, a US-based Nurse Practitioner and chronic UTI/IC specialist whose research spans 40 years following her own experience and complete recovery from IC. We are experienced in supporting clients with recurrent UTIs/Interstitial Cystitis and the gut, vaginal, nervous system and hormonal health challenges that often go with them.

We're here to help. We take a functional medicine approach, looking at your health as a whole, assessing the triggers and drivers and finding the root cause. We know recurrent UTI is a complex issue and it takes time and very often a lot of detective work to reach symptom resolution and recovery.

Our clinical Lead Beverley Sarstedt now lectures on this complex therapy area and has been invited to speak at National Conferences in London. As the first clinic in the UK to offer this service we are privileged to share this knowledge with patients and health practitioners and also offer a mentoring service to other health practitioners such as NT's and GP's wishing to offer this functional medicine approach.
Beverley is assisted by our very talented and able Nutritional Therapist and FM practitioner Neleta Winter who has also trained with Ruth Kriz. When you book with our clinic you will work with either Beverley or Neleta both of whom have ongoing training with Ruth Kriz and work with clients all over the world.

What's included in the UTI packages?

Our comprehensive UTI packages have been designed to give you a high level of support during those all important first few weeks working with the practice. For those who require more regular contact in the first 3 months, a small number of intensive packages are available. More details below.

The standard package includes:
Initial Consultation

Functional Medicine online questionnaire and analysis prior to appointment
Full consultation (1hr 30min - 2hours)
Comprehensive report with dietary advice, supplementation and testing recommendations
Access to a comprehensive range of supportive documents

2 x 30min Follow-up Consultations

Assess and review nutritional protocol with recommendations
Review initial test results
Make any further recommendations

Experience has taught us that clients feel more supported with regular contact in the first few weeks as they often have questions or symptom changes that need to be reviewed. Therefore, the first follow up will be booked 2-4 weeks after the initial consultation and the second 2-4 weeks following.

(Or 1 x 60min follow up if required, this is on a case by case basis).

Ongoing support from the team by email during office hours for the first 4 weeks.

The UTI package is to be completed within the first 3-4 months of working with us.

Total £594 (all prices inclusive of VAT).

1 hour Follow-up Consultation - £120.
30min Follow-up Consultation - £78.

Additional email support - available during office hours up to a maximum of 8 emails per month. All email responses require revisiting client notes and history in order to answer queries appropriately, this can take some time. We aim to reply within 24 hours. Please note all test results will require a follow up appointment to discuss. The time required will vary depending on the length of the report.

Intensive UTI Support Package

The intensive UTI support package is available on request as we only take a small number of clients for this. Email us on [email protected] for further information.

This will provide 3 month's of intensive support for those who require more regular contact and includes

an initial 2 hour consultation
half hour follow up every 2 weeks (6 sessions)
Ongoing support from the team by email during office hours

Testing is invoiced separately via the labs we work with. Clients who work with us will receive a discount for Microgen testing.

What if I can't afford the UTI package at this time?

We have always been aware that cost of testing alongside consultations is simply out of reach for some sufferers and are therefore currently working on an online course which will delve into the many ways you can support yourself and reduce risk factors in the meantime.
